a long overdue update

hellooo!

we are happy to say that Lewis’ scans last july (2025) were clear - woohoo! Lewis has been thriving as a 5 year-old and having lots of fun learning how to read & getting into drawing.

Lewis has also been busy being a Make-A-Wish ambassador this year & having a blast while he’s at it. he has gone on the court at a blazer game & visited a chick-fil-a where he got to make his very own milkshake, the Lewis Shake! he was very proud to receive his first trophy ever for meeting his initial fundraising goal. we upped his goal to $10,000 - the amount of money that a Wish typically costs. he would love to grant another kids’ Wish! we would love for you to help him reach his goal, you can contribute to his fundraiser here.

our amazing family supported Lewis at the blazer game for make-a-wish in April!

a few weeks ago, Lewis got to take a special visit to the Trimet bus station in our neighborhood representing Make-A-Wish! after he got a tour of the bus yard, he got a private bus ride across the tillikum bridge on a bus whose destination sign read “VIP COACH”. cue my tears! after the bus ride, they loaded him & Emmett up with epic swag bags that included wooden bus & max models and a lego max set, all Trimet branded of course. he loved his “once-in-a-lifetime” experience! shout-out to Andrew & Donnie & all of Trimet for being so thoughtful & making our boy feel so special!

local news heard about Lewis’ visit to Trimet and made this cute segment that aired today, you can see it here.

VIP COACH!

dream swag bag

May is Brain Tumor Awareness month! last year, Lewis & I made these greeting card sets with his paintings & phrases he chose. sets are priced at $40 & all profits go to the Raymond A. Wood Foundation, a great organization that focuses on the type of brain tumor Lewis had and furthering research & making things more accessible for him & his fellow cranios. we still have 20 sets of cards left that we would love to sell before the end of the month. you can get your set here!

those were some special highlights from the past 10 months. i am sure we missed a lot of other fun ones. Lewis is loving life & we are so happy that he will be three years post-surgery on June 5! praise god. his next MRI is on the morning of June 11 & we’d love your prayers. this is the longest he’s gone without a scan, one year! we can’t believe it’s been that long.

thanks for reading & we hope this post finds you well. sending you love! xoxo
